Terra Verde Services Ltd (TVS Ltd) was established in November 2024 as a Local Authority Trading Company (LATCo) to deliver key environmental services on behalf of Epping Forest District Council (EFDC). As a separate entity, TVS Ltd is responsible for its own operations, finances, and workforce while maintaining a strong partnership with EFDC to serve the residents of the district.
TVS Ltd provides comprehensive recycling, waste collection, and street cleansing services, ensuring that EFDC’s statutory obligations are fulfilled. Operating with a clear ethical and moral ethos, TVS Ltd emphasizes high standards of quality, transparency, and respect. This approach extends to creating a positive working environment for employees and reinvesting financial surpluses into service improvements, delivering value for money to the community.
TVS Ltd’s vision is centered on providing exceptional customer service while supporting sustainability goals, such as reducing residual waste, maximising recycling, and minimising the carbon footprint of operations. With an experienced team and a collaborative relationship with EFDC, TVS Ltd has successfully transitioned staff and operations from the previous waste contractor, achieving impressive collection rates of 99.5% weekly since its launch.
Significant milestones include the procurement of a new waste fleet, development of temporary operational facilities, and plans for a state-of-the-art waste depot set to open in 2025. Ongoing projects, such as route optimisation and exploring recycling innovations, demonstrate TVS Ltd’s commitment to continuous improvement. Future ambitions include implementing EFDC’s Waste and Recycling Strategy, increasing recycling rates, reducing waste, and expanding services for trade waste customers.
